Mrs. Mary Jane Brown of 169 Principal Drive, Cusseta, Georgia passed away on January 11, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital, Columbus, Georgia.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at St. Phillips C.M.E. Church, Green Grove Road, Cusseta, Georgia at 1:00 P.M. The burial will follow in Beaulah Cemetery, Cusseta, Georgia.
On January 11, 2012, Mrs. Mary Jane Brown was called to rest while hospitalized at St. Francis Hospital, Columbus, Georgia.
Mrs. Brown was born October 14, 1937 in Richland, Georgia to the late Mr. Dave Mathis and the late Mrs. Everlena Page Harderson.
Her stepfather, Mr. Elijah Harderson, who was loved by her and her family, and a son-in-law, Mr. Johnny D. Tymes, preceded her in death.
Mrs. Brown was educated in the Stewart County School System. She joined St. James Baptist Church at an early age. She was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Willie A. Brown, Sr. Mrs. Brown earned a diploma from the Academy of Culinary Arts, Atlanta, Georgia. She was employed by the Harvest House Cafeteria for thirty years.
She leaves to cherish her memories: six children, Mrs. Earetha Tymes (Otis), Buena Vista, Georgia, Mr. Willie A. Brown, Jr., Flint, Michigan, Mr. Arthur L. Brown (Debbie), Ashburnham, Massachusetts, Mrs. Ruth Holtzclaw (Kenneth), Columbus, Georgia, Mrs. Hazel B. Crawford (Jarvis), Columbus, Georgia, and Mr. Gregory Brown, Cusseta, Georgia; one brother, Mr. Boyzie L. Mathis, Atlanta, Georgia; nineteen grandchildren and twenty-seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
