Mrs. Alma Lee Merritt of Richland, Georgia passed away on June 29, 2010 at Four County Health Care, 124 Overby Drive, Richland, Georgia.

The funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 4, 2010 at Calvary Baptist Church, Milliken Avenue, Richland, Georgia at 2:00 P.M. The burial service will follow in Poplar Springs Cemetery, Preston, Georgia.

Alma Lee Merritt is gone away, but she will not be forgotten. She will definitely be missed. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and more. She was there when you needed cheering up or a helping hand. Although she may have departed from us, she still has a place in our hearts. She is in a better place now, a place called "home".

Alma Lee Merritt, also known as "Duke", was born on August 7, 1947 to Rainnie Warren and the late Lucious Warren. She departed this life on June 29, 2010 at Four County Health Care, Richland, Georgia.

She leaves to cherish her memories: a loving husband, Franklin Merritt of Richland, Georgia; her mother, Rainnie Warren of Richland, Georgia; wonderful children, Jeremiah (Jackie) Warren of Richland, Georgia, Johnny (Camilla) Warren of Columbus, Georgia, and Lesia Merritt of Richland, Georgia; great and loving grandchildren, Lawrence, Jonathan, Latonya, Amanda, Rachel, Jershandra, Jeremy, Johnny, Tamara, and Audria; five great- grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
