Mrs. Annie L. Benefield of 64 Matilda Street, Lumpkin, Georgia, passed away on April 30, 2010 at her residence.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at New Trinity Gospel Church, Omaha, Georgia with Rev. Dexter Materre, Sr., officiating. The burial will follow in New Trinity Gospel Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Annie L. Benefield, the daughter of the late Estella Evans and the late George Bold, was born July 9, 1934 in Quitman County, Georgia. She departed from the realms of this life on April 30, 2010 at her residence.
At an early age, she joined Trinity A.M.E. Church, now known as New Trinity Gospel Church, Omaha, Georgia.
Surviving her departure with cherished memories are: two daughters, Lucile (Herman) Hill of Columbus, Georgia and Annette (William) Benefield of Atlanta, Georgia; three sons, Walter (Mahalia) Benefield, Rickey (Kathlyn) Flowers of Atlanta, Georgia, and Jesse (Cynthia) Benefield of Lumpkin, Georgia; eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; five sisters, Allena Barnum of Columbus, Georgia, Mary Smith of Omaha, Georgia, Mattie Evans of Louvale, Georgia, Annie Pierce and Beatrice Jordan (Benjamin), both of Columbus, Georgia; one brother, Frank Evans of Omaha, Georgia; one sister-in-law, Louise (Bruce) Daniel; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
