Annie Horne Obituary

Mrs. Annie Kate Horne of 708 Church Street, Richland, Georgia, passed away on July 29, 2010 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, Albany, Georgia.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. at Calvary Baptist Church, Milliken Avenue, Richland, Georgia. The burial will follow in Bryant Cemetery, Richland, Georgia.

Mrs. Annie Kate Horne was born June 3, 1942 to the late Mr. Henry B. Allen and the late Mrs. Lucy White Allen. She entered into eternal rest on July 29, 2010 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, Albany, Georgia.

She attended the public schools in Stewart County. At an early age, she joined Calvary Baptist Church and served on the Usher Board.

One sister, Mrs. Elma Geddis and one brother, Mr. Clarence Allen, preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband of forty-eight years, Mr. Walter James Horne, Sr. of Richland, Georgia; three sons, Mr. Floyd Weaver, Mr. Bryan Weaver, and Mr. Walter James Horne, Jr. of Richland, Georgia; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Daisy (Robert) Little of Trenton, New Jersey and Ms. Barbara Horne of Richland, Georgia; one brother, Mr. Randy Horne of Richland, Georgia; one aunt, Ms. Flora White of Richland, Georgia; a special nephew, Mr. Willie Horne of Richland, Georgia, the daughter she never had, Ms. Diane Webb of Lumpkin, Georgia; a goddaughter, Ms. Jevone White of Lumpkin, Georgia; and a host of nieces, other nephews, cousins, and friends.
