Mr. Henry Lee "Bunch Seay" Devorce of Wood Valley Apt#28, Richland, Georgia, passed away on Monday, December 28, 2009 at Stewart-Webster Hospital, Richland, Georgia.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 2:30 P.M. at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, Lumpkin, Georgia.

Obituary

Mr. Henry Lee Devorce, affectionately called, "Bunch Seay", entered into eternal rest Monday, December 28, 2009 at Stewart-Webster Hospital, Richland, Georgia.

Mr. Devorce was born in Union, Georgia on September 8, 1927 to the late George Devorce and the late Pinkie Seay Devorce. He lived in Lumpkin, Georgia most of his life and retired from Fort Benning and Stewart County Board of Education, where he served over fifty years of his working life. One of his favorite pastimes was telling jokes to make his family laugh. He was a Baptist by faith and a member of Athens Hill Baptist Church, Omaha, Georgia, where he accepted Christ at an early age.

Five siblings and one grandchild preceded him in death: three brothers, Willie Devorce, William Devorce, and Melvin Devorce; two sisters, Mary Boswell and Annie Baker; and a granddaughter, Passion Gilbert.

Leaving to cherish his memories are: nine sons, Henry Clarence Devorce of Atlanta, Georgia, Charles Marion Devorce, Paul Douglas Devorce, and Willie Devorce of Yonkers, New York, Stanley Devorce of Boston, Massachusetts, Lyndon Devorce of Bridgeton, New Jersey, James Devorce of Macon, Georgia, Anthony (Velera) Bell of Warner Robins and Sammie Bell of Lumpkin, Georgia; ten daughters, Wilma (Lewis) Devorce Miller and Beverly (Dennis) Moses of Lumpkin, Georgia, Cherry (Joe) Dalton of Atlanta, Georgia, Karen Williams of Columbus, Georgia, Diania Devorce, Angela Williams, Vickie Devorce, and Doris Bell of Lumpkin, Georgia, Barbara Ann Devorce of White Plains, New York and Lora Ann Devorce of Yonkers, New York; twenty grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Minnie Pearl Walton of Lumpkin, Georgia and Elizabeth Cherry of Yonkers, New York; a loving aunt, Ludie McNeal of Richland, Georgia; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
