Mr. Kijuan Dupree Hawkins of Preston, Georgia, passed away on June 10, 2010 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, Albany, Georgia.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Preston, Georgia. The burial will follow in Poplar Springs Cemetery, Preston, Georgia.

Kijuan Dupree Hawkins was born on September 21, 1977 in Americus, Georgia to the parentage of Mary Hawkins-Angry and Johnny Jones. He departed this life on June 10, 2010 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, Albany, Georgia.

Kijuan joined New Hope Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. He attended the public schools of Webster and Marion counties; he graduated from Tri-County High School in 1996. He was employed at T&R Custom, Inc. in Ellaville, Georgia.

A loving grandfather, Jessie B. Hawkins and great grandmother, Annie Majors, preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother and stepfather, Mary (Leonard) Angry of Preston, Georgia; his father, Johnny Jones of Richland, Georgia; two brothers, Alex Hawkins of Preston, Georgia and Johnny Jones, Jr. of Richland, Georgia; five sisters, Kristal (Von) Brooks, Towanjalin Woodley, and Ruzunda Jones, all of Atlanta, Georgia, LaGale Daniel and Michelle Daniel, both of Wilmington, Delaware; a devoted cousin/sister, Shantel Crawford of Preston, Georgia; a devoted friend, Conwanda Andrews of Preston, Georgia; one niece, Alexus Hawkins of Preston, Georgia; two nephews, Alex Hawkins, Jr. and Amarius Hawkins, both of Preston, Georgia; loving grandmothers, Mary Ella Hawkins of Preston, Georgia and Julia Jones of Richland, Georgia; seven aunts, Vivian Hawkins of Preston, Georgia, Katheryn Baldwin of Columbus, Georgia, Azzie (Wesley) Waye, and Mary (Walter) Moses, both of Richland, Georgia, Dorothy (Johnny) Lowe of Newark, New Jersey, Genette (Charles) Jacobs of Richland, Georgia, and Peggy Hawkins of Columbus, Georgia; nine uncles, Antly (Geri) Hawkins of Covington, Georgia, Donald (Lora) Hawkins of Preston, Georgia, Jesse (Peggy) Hawkins of Columbus, Georgia, Melvin Hawkins, Bobby Hawkins, John Baldwin, and Lonnie Horsley, all of Preston, Georgia, Fletcher Hawkins of Atlanta, Georgia, and James (Chris) Hawkins of South Carolina; two great aunts, Essie Smith and Annie Collins, both of Hartford, Connecticut; one great uncle, John Majors of Richland, Georgia; a beloved cousin, Shawn Hawkins of Weston, Georgia; and a host of other relatives, cousins, and friends.
