Linnette Flanagan Lately

Mrs. Linnette Flanagan Lately of 447 Cotton Street, Lumpkin, Georgia, passed away on January 13, 2010 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 18, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, MLK Jr Drive, Lumpkin, Georgia. The burial service will follow in Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Surles Street, Lumpkin, Georgia.



Mrs. Linnette Flanagan Lately was born on May 5, 1956 in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Norlena Latimer and the late James Truitt.

Linnette was a dedicated member at Stephens Chapel United Methodist Church, Lumpkin, Georgia, where she served as the secretary. She was united in holy matrimony to the late Ernest Lately, Jr.

Linnette was a long-time employee at Michelle's Restaurant, Lumpkin, Georgia, where she dedicated her life to serving and helping others.

Linnette departed this life and entered into eternal rest with God on January 13, 2010, in the comfort of her home.

She leaves many family members and friends to mourn and cherish her loving memories which include: four sisters, Masaline Latimer of Marietta, Georgia, Jackie (Clint) Rivers and Sharron Latimer of Lumpkin, Georgia, and Joyce Latimer of Conyers, Georgia; (one sister, Bonnie Garrett, preceded her in death in 2008); two brothers, James M. (Wanda) Flanagan of Marietta, Georgia and Eddie Latimer, Jr. of Louvale, Georgia; one brother-in-law, Melvin Garrett; seven nieces, nine nephews, seven great-nieces, and three great nephews; a mother-in-law, Queen Lately of Fitzgerald, Georgia; two additional brothers-in-law, four sisters-in-law; and a host of relatives and friends.
