Mrs. Mary Louise Thomas was born November 12, 1927, in Webster County, Georgia to the late Mr. Thomas Graham and the late Mrs. Emma Mae Willis Graham. She was the eldest of five children. Her husband, Mr. Joseph L. Thomas; a daughter, Ms. Mary N. Brown; one granddaughter, Felicia Williams Sales; one great-grandson, Damari White; one sister, Mrs. Tommie M. Henderson; and one brother, Mr. Charlie C. Graham, preceded her in death.
She attended the Stewart County Public School System. At an early age,*Louise*, as she was affectionately called, professed Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was a very faithful and dedicated member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, Richland, Georgia. She was also a faithful and dedicated employee at Kay Lynn Court Motel of Richland, Georgia until her health would not allow her to continue working. She was a member of the Richland High & Industrial School Alumni Association, Inc. She also served her community well by driving many children to and from school and school events, baking cakes for many families, opening her home to many people, and feeding anyone who stopped by. She was a humble and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, play mom, and an adopted mom to everyone. A big smile is what she wore well.
Left to cherish her memories are her seven children: Mrs. Joann (Joe Lee) Williams of Richland, Georgia, Mrs. Jacquetta (Willie) Walker of Columbus, Georgia, Mrs. Oneida (Richard) Allen of Marietta, Georgia, Ms. Jan Brown (Larry) of Tifton, Georgia, Mr. Ricky Thomas of Richland, Georgia, Mrs. Marylyn (Mackery) White of Richland, Georgia, and Ms. Laura Collier of Richland, Georgia; two sisters, Mrs. Willie Bell Raven of Americus, Georgia and Ms. Betty J. Thomas of Cocoa, Florida; four sisters-in-law, Ms. Elizabeth Thomas of Richland, Georgia, Mrs. Christine Carlos of South Carolina, Mrs. Barbara Mathis of Hartford, Connecticut, and Mrs. Sarah Latimer of Montgomery, Alabama; eighteen grandchildren, Malik (Cynthia) Muhammad of Alexandria, Louisiana, Pamela Chinn of Ft. Mitchell, Alabama, Patrece Graham of Ft. Mitchell, Alabama, Joe Lee Williams, Jr. of Richland, Georgia, Yekevis (Tomekia) Thomas of Richland, Georgia, Rodney Walker of Columbus, Georgia, Jagan (Jennifer) Thomas of Marietta, Georgia, Rachel Allen of Marietta, Georgia, Kozophia (Lee) Lewis of Tifton, Georgia, La'rae Brown of Tifton, Georgia, Nikki Brown of Charlotte, North Carolina, Cornell Lockett of Columbus, Georgia, Jermine Tullis of Americus, Georgia, Delarramie Protho of Richland, Georgia, Shari Thomas of Cusseta, Georgia, Marteshia White of Cusseta, Georgia, Mackery White, III of Cusseta, Georgia, and Nikki Wilson of Columbus, Georgia; thirty-six great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, three of many special people who were always there, Ms. Evonda Tention of Richland, Georgia, Mrs. Angela Harris of Americus, Georgia, and Mr. John L.Thompkins, Jr. of Richland, Georgia; other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, Richland, Georgia. Interment Service will follow in Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
