On March 5, 1920, Mrs. Recalthria Gordon Hudson was born to the parentage of Mr. Emanuel Gordon and Mrs. Lula Turner Gordon. She transitioned into eternity on May 2, 2018, at the Zebulon Park Health and Rehabilitation, Macon, Georgia. She was reared in Terrell County, Georgia, where she was educated in the Terrell County School System.
She married her lifetime love Mr. John Homer Hudson in January 1941, and this union lasted seventy-two years until the passing of her beloved "J" in April 2013.
Her love for the Lord and His church began at an early age, and she was a longtime member of the New Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as Mission President and Sunday School Teacher.
Recalthria was a wife, mother, sister, grandmother, friend, and homemaker. She dedicated her life to her family, church, and friends. Recalthria enjoyed gardening, baking and canning fruits, which she so happily shared with family and friends.
She will be eternally loved and missed by her children: Charles Henry Hudson (Rose Marie) of Elizabeth, New Jersey, Arthur James Hudson (Trudie) of Richland, Georgia, Brenda Hudson Ponder of Sumner, Georgia, and Princess Ann Fort (Adrian) of Lizella, Georgia; one sister, Mammie Page of Columbus, Georgia; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a dear adopted son, Lawrence Williams (Alice) of Richland, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at New Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Kimbrough, Georgia. Interment Service will follow in New Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
