Mr. William Darrien Seay of 207 MLK Drive, Lumpkin, Georgia, passed away on June 17, 2010 at The Medical Center, Columbus, Georgia.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 12:00 P.M. at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, Lumpkin, Georgia. The burial will follow at Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church, Lumpkin, Georgia.
William "Darrien" Seay, son of Claree Seay and the late Samuel Seay, was born December 15, 1969 in Cuthbert, Georgia. He departed this life on Thursday, June 17, 2010.
"Darrien", as everyone called him, was educated in the public school system of Stewart County, Lumpkin, Georgia. He attended Stewart-Quitman High School and graduated in 1989.
He met and later married Barbara Miller on August 31, 2002.
"Darrien" moved to Buffalo, New York in 1989, where he was employed with Ellicott Square, Inc. for over twenty years. He decided to move back home to help with the care of his mother.
"Darrien" was a very loving father and grandfather. Although he was a very out-spoken man, he always knew how to cheer you up when you were down. Darrien was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Buffalo, New York. After returning home, he attended his childhood church, Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, Lumpkin, Georgia.
"Darrien" leaves to mourn and cherish his memories: a wife, Barbara of Buffalo, New York; two daughters, Dajah and Tamara of Buffalo, New York; one son, Jonathan of Buffalo, New York; two grandchildren; his mother, Claree of Lumpkin, Georgia; three brothers, Kenneth of Lumpkin, Georgia, John (Linda) of Amherst, New York, and Randy (Sheila) of Stafford, Virginia; three sisters, Delores and Janice (Tim) of Lumpkin, Georgia, and Audrey of Providence, Rhode Island; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends, including three devoted friends, Kevin, Bernard, and James.
