Mr. Benjamin "Ben" Brown of 6632 Hospital Road, Richland, Georgia, passed away January 14, 2010 in Richland, Georgia.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at Green Grove Baptist Church, Lumpkin, Georgia. The burial service will follow at Mill Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, Lumpkin, Georgia.

Mr. Benjamin "Ben" Brown was born June 25, 1945 in Lumpkin, Georgia, to the late Charlie Brown and the late Blanche Brown. God decided to call our beloved one home on January 14, 2010.

Benjamin joined Mill Bethel Baptist Church at an early age and remained a member until his departure. Mr. Brown was a veteran of the United States Army, where he served a tour in Vietnam and received an honorable discharge. He also retired from Tolleson Lumber Company after thirteen years of service.

Benjamin leaves to cherish many fond memories and to celebrate in his homegoing: a devoted wife, Patricia Ann Jones-Brown of Richland, Georgia; three loving children, Carlton Brown of Lumpkin, Georgia, Revanna Sudberry (Richard) and Rashonda King (Michael) of Columbus, Georgia; four grandchildren, Tre'Vione Sudberry, Michael King III, Zoe Sudberry, and Mi'Shon King of Columbus, Georgia; three adopted children, Trevon Thomas, Randy Jones, and Jaquan Jones of Richland, Georgia; two sisters, Clara Bunn (Bill) of Springfield, Massachusetts and Doris Brown (Robert) of Columbia, South Carolina; two brothers, Clarence Brown of Vaux Hall, New Jersey and Edward Brown (Betty) of Columbus, Georgia; a cherished mother-in-law, Alice Jones of Richland, Georgia; a father-in-law, John Jones of Lumpkin, Georgia; a devoted friend, Barbara Brown-Dowdell of Columbus, Georgia; aunts and uncles; and a host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
